JOACON Refund Policy

At JOACON 2027, we understand that circumstances may change. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellation and refund of registration fees for the 19th Annual Conference of the Jharkhand Orthopaedic Association.

Cancellation and Refund Schedule

The following refund schedule applies to all registration cancellations:

  • 100% Refund - If cancellation request is received on or before 15th December 2026
  • 50% Refund - If cancellation request is received between 16th December 2026 and 15th January 2027
  • No Refund - If cancellation request is received after 15th January 2027
  • No Show - No refund will be provided for registered participants who do not attend the conference.

Cancellation Process

To request a cancellation and refund, please follow these steps:

  • Send a written cancellation request via email to registration@joacon2027.org
  • Include your full name, registration ID (if available), and the email address used for registration
  • Our team will verify your registration details within 3-5 business days
  • You will receive confirmation of your cancellation and refund eligibility
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days via the original payment method

Important Refund Notes

Please be aware of the following important conditions regarding refunds:

  • JOACON reserves the full right to cancel/refuse the service in case of any illegal/mal activity performed via an online payment gateway.
  • A cancellation request must be filed within 15 days from the date of payment.
  • If the request is approved then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within the number of days.
  • Bank charges, processing fees, and applicable taxes (GST) are non-refundable in all cases.
  • Registration fees are non-transferable to another person or future conferences.
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email only. Phone requests will not be accepted.

Event Cancellation by Organizers

In the unlikely event that JOACON 2027 is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to natural disasters, government regulations, public health emergencies, or force majeure events), registered participants will be notified immediately.

In such cases:

  • Full registration fees will be refunded within 30 days of the cancellation announcement.
  • Alternatively, registration can be transferred to the rescheduled conference dates at no additional cost.
  • The organizing committee will not be responsible for any travel or accommodation expenses incurred by participants.

Misconduct and Service Refusal

JOACON reserves the full right to cancel/refuse the service in case of any illegal/mal activity performed via an online payment gateway. The organizing committee also reserves the right to refuse registration or deny access to the conference to any individual who violates the conference code of conduct, engages in inappropriate behavior, or submits fraudulent information during registration.

In such cases, no refund will be provided, and the individual may be barred from future JOACON conferences.

Certificate and Course Cancellations

Cancellation of conference registration automatically cancels any associated pre-conference workshops, courses (AO Pre Basic Course, APOA Young Surgeon Forum), or certificate programs. No separate refund will be provided for these components as they are included in the registration package.
